Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur allegedly suffer a transfer blow, as Juventus agree a deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain's Randal Kolo Muani on loan.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly missed out on a January deal for Randal Kolo Muani, with Juventus said to have won the race to sign the Paris Saint-Germain attacker this month.

There has been a host of speculation surrounding the France international's future in recent weeks, with PSG making it clear that he is available in the winter market, although a permanent exit was always seen as unlikely due to the numbers involved.

Man United and Spurs have been heavily linked with the 26-year-old, who has scored 11 goals and registered seven assists in 54 appearances for PSG since his arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023.

However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Juventus have won the race for the striker, who is set to make the move to the Old Lady on loan for the second half of the 2024-25 campaign.

Kolo Muani is said to have 'accepted the proposal' and will be in Turin before the end of the week for his medical, although the Italian outfit will not have the option to sign him on a permanent basis.

Juventus 'agree loan deal with PSG for Kolo Muani'

The attacker scored 26 goals and registered 17 assists in 50 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt before his arrival at PSG, but he has been unable to show his best form for the capital giants.

Kolo Muani only has two goals and one assist in 14 outings in all competitions this term, and he is expected to leave the Paris giants on a permanent basis this summer, even if Juventus do not make a move to acquire him on a long-term deal.

Juventus were one of the clubs looking at a deal for Marcus Rashford, with the England international set to leave Man United on loan before the January transfer window closes for business.

However, the Old Lady will not be signing both Kolo Muani and Rashford in the same window, so it does appear that Thiago Motta's team are completely out of the race for the 27-year-old.

Will Tottenham, Man United sign a forward this month?

Lille's Jonathan David continues to be linked with a number of clubs; the Canada international's deal is due to expire this summer, and there have been claims that his French outfit would consider an offer in the region of £25m.

David has scored 17 goals and registered six assists in 29 appearances for Lille this term, and he would certainly be appealing to both Man United and Tottenham, but neither club are believed to have made an offer at this moment in time.

Joshua Zirkzee had looked likely to leave Man United this month, but the Netherlands international is now set to stay, suggesting that the 20-time English champions may wait until the summer to bring in a forward.

Tottenham are certainly looking for more options in the final third of the field, but the North London outfit do have two players in double figures for goals this term, with Brennan Johnson netting 12, while Dominic Solanke has 11.
