Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez could supposedly return to Old Trafford from his loan spell at Inter Milan next month.
The former Arsenal man has largely struggled with injuries during his time with Antonio Conte's men and has turned out just 10 times in Serie A during the 2019-20 campaign.
Despite the forward's underwhelming time in Italy, Inter were reportedly hopeful of striking a permanent deal for Sanchez, but that move now appears to have been scuppered.
According to Sky Italia, United intend to bring the Chilean back to Manchester when his loan deal with Conte's side expires on June 30.
The report claims that with both clubs still vying for Europa League glory, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are fearful that Sanchez could strengthen Inter's chances of winning the competition.
As a result, Sanchez will reportedly return to the Red Devils, where he has amassed five goals from 45 appearances across all competitions thus far.
