Manchester United are allegedly contemplating whether to make an approach for Palmeiras winger Gabriel Veron.
After weeks of speculation, United finally appear to be making headway in the transfer market with the likes of Tyrrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen said to be closing in on moves to Old Trafford.
However, according to The Mirror, the Premier League giants are giving consideration to trying to secure a deal for 19-year-old Veron.
Despite his age, Veron has already made 93 appearances for Palmeiras in all competitions, contributing 13 goals and 13 assists.
With four years still remaining on his contract, the Brazilian outfit remain in a strong position with regards to his future, but there is an inevitability regarding a switch to European football in the coming years.
Palmeiras are said to be willing to do business for a fee in the region of £10m, an asking price which will attract interest from a wide array of clubs.

United have already waved goodbye to a number of creative players this summer, including Jesse Lingard whose long-term association with the club ended when he left on a free transfer.
Although the England international barely played for United during the last campaign, the 29-year-old is not short of admirers in his signature.
West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur have both been credited with an interest, the former being a ex-club of Lingard from the second half of 2020-21.
According to The Sun, Everton boss Frank Lampard has identified Lingard as one of his top targets after the Toffees sold Richarlison to Spurs.
However, the report adds that the playmaker is only prepared to contemplate a switch to Goodison Park if other options do not materialise over the coming weeks.
Despite parting ways with Richarlison in a £60m deal, Everton may show a preference towards free agents due to their ongoing financial issues.

Remaining on the theme of players who found themselves out of favour last season, Georginio Wijnaldum is being tipped to depart Parc des Princes this summer.
While the Netherlands international made 18 starts in Ligue 1, the arrival of Vitinha and potential incoming of Renato Sanches effectively leave the 31-year-old surplus to requirements at Paris Saint-Germain.
A return to the Premier League remains a possibility for a player who enjoyed a successful period at Liverpool between 2016 and 2021.
Nevertheless, according ED, PSV are interested in securing a reunion with one of their former players as they begin a new era under Ruud van Nistelrooy.
With Wijnaldum still possessing two years on his PSG contract, all parties would have to reach a compromise in order for a deal to materialise over the coming weeks.

All the talk at Newcastle United in recent weeks has been regarding new signings, the Magpies having recently got the ball rolling with the addition of Lille defender Sven Botman.
However, at a time when they are yet to add to their options in the final third, The Mirror claims that Eddie Howe is keen to secure the future of one of his leading men.
Despite missing a large chunk of the last campaign through injury, Callum Wilson still contributed eight goals from 18 appearances, and the 30-year-old featured in final-week victories over Arsenal and Burnley in 2021-22.
Even with two years remaining on his contract, Wilson will allegedly be offered fresh terms by the club's hierarchy in a bid to fend off any interest in his signature.
