Vote for your left-back in the Sports Mole readers' halfway-stage Premier League Team of the Season.

The Christmas period brings with it the halfway point of the Premier League season, and clubs in England's top flight will now be gearing up for the second half of what looks like being a record-breaking campaign.

Manchester City have so far demonstrated an unprecedented level of dominance to make a mockery of claims that the Premier League is the most competitive top league in Europe, reaching the halfway point with a 13-point lead over their closest challengers.

The race for the remaining three Champions League places is very much on, though, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal all in contention once again.

Burnley have been the surprise package of a season which has already seen six managerial casualties in the top flight, bringing with it mixed results for the likes of Leicester City, Everton, Swansea and West Bromwich Albion, amongst others.
