Manchester United's Ashley Young will be out of action for two weeks with an ankle injury.

Manchester United's Ashley Young will be unavailable for manager Sir Alex Ferguson over the next two weeks due to an ankle injury.

The 27-year-old was expected to be sidelined for a period of time after picking up the problem during Monday evening's 2-1 defeat to derby rivals Manchester City.

While Young was guaranteed to be absent from United's clash against Stoke City this weekend, Ferguson has confirmed that he will also miss the Red Devils' matches against West Ham United and Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, Nemanja Vidic has begun training today following a calf problem, while Jonny Evans is expected to be fit this weekend after struggling with a hamstring complaint.
