Vieira: 'It's not over yet'

Patrick Vieira thinks that the Premier League title could go either way after Manchester City matched Manchester United's points tally in the table.

Manchester City executive Patrick Vieira believes that the Premier League title race is far from over, despite his side's slight advantage in the table.

City are equal on points with their arch rivals Manchester United after securing a 1-0 victory over the Red Devils on Monday night.

Arguably the blue half of Manchester have the edge over their opponents due to a superior goal tally of eight with two games left to play in the league.

"A few weeks ago everyone was saying the league was over," Vieira told BBC Sport. "Now we beat them at home and we are first in the table. What is sure is that nothing is over yet. Both teams can win it. We are where we want to be at the end."

City will have to face a tough away trip to Newcastle United this weekend followed by a home fixture against Queens Park Rangers, while United go head to head with Swansea City and Sunderland before the close of this season.
