Louis van Gaal "satisfied" with Manchester United performances

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal says that he is "satisfied" with his team's performances, despite them scoring just one goal in their last three games.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has insisted that he is "satisfied" with his team's performances, despite scoring just one goal in their last three matches.

The Red Devils face a must-win Champions League match against Wolfsburg in Germany on Tuesday.

Van Gaal's side need to seal victory in order to be certain of a place in the last 16 of the elite European competition.

Despite the team being criticised for their lack of attacking flair in recent weeks, the club's Dutch boss has claimed that he has no concerns.

"I am pleased with the squad," Van Gaal told reporters. "When I have to reconsider our season I will say our matches against Arsenal and Crystal Palace were the matches when we were not the better team.

"I know that we must score goals. As a manager I know we must score but when you ask about the performance as a team, I am satisfied."

Captain Wayne Rooney and midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin have been ruled out of the European match, which is the final meeting in Group B.

In the Premier League, United are fourth in the table after 15 games.
