Louis van Gaal has revealed that he has received an offer that he "cannot refuse", as the former Manchester United boss prepares to make his return to management.
The Dutchman has been out of work since being sacked by the Red Devils in 2016 just a few days on from lifting the FA Cup, which he recently admitted has left him feeling bitter.
Van Gaal now appears to be on the brink of returning to football in some capacity, though, with Sky Sports News suggesting that he has been approached to take over as head coach of a national team.
Speaking to Dutch television channel Ziggo Sport, the 66-year-old said: "I still get a lot of offers. I have now received an offer that I actually cannot refuse... If I'm still here in August or September, and I do not have a new job, then I'm retiring."
Van Gaal has also been linked with the Everton job, currently occupied by Sam Allardyce, and a sporting director position at PSV Eindhoven.
