Louis van Gaal expects improvement from Manchester United

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal believes that his team can continue to improve during the remainder of the season.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has admitted that he never feels content with the performances of his team.

Despite sitting in third position in the Premier League table, some of United's displays have come in for fierce criticism, and Van Gaal has acknowledged that his side can improve their game during the remainder of the campaign.

The Dutchman told reporters: "I am never happy. You never can play the perfect match, but I think we can play better than we show now.

"The main thing is to win, not to lose and we score fantastic goals that we have practised in training, but the most important thing is the spirit of the team. We have shown a lot of times this year this spirit and that is attractive to the fans."

United travel to the Liberty Stadium to play Swansea City on Saturday afternoon, when only a win will guarantee that they remain in third spot behind Chelsea and Manchester City.
