Teammates pay tribute to departing Darren Fletcher

Sports Mole picks out some of the best social media reaction to Darren Fletcher's Manchester United departure.

Teammates past and present have taken to social media over the last few hours to wish Darren Fletcher well as he begins life away from Manchester United.

The midfielder rose through the ranks at Old Trafford and went on to make 342 appearances for the club, helping them to win five Premier League titles along the way.

As a popular person in the dressing room, it is little surprise that his departure to West Bromwich Albion has been met with sadness by those that have played alongside him. Here, Sports Mole has picked out some of the best reaction.

"Good luck to Darren Fletcher at WBA...they are getting a quality footballer, top pro & a great guy. Oh & a Wind up merchant too,"
Former United and current QPR defender Rio Ferdinand

"Good luck Fletch on your new adventure! Great player and a great guy. #Thanksforeverything."
Phil Jones

"Good luck to Fletch at West Brom. One of the nicest guys in football, all the best mate #ThankYouFletch."
Ashley Young

"Thanks for your football, for your support, for everything since I got here. Good luck with WBA! #ThankYouFletch."
David de Gea
