Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly joined Jose Mourinho on Manchester United's shortlist of potential next managers.
Louis van Gaal is the current incumbent of the Old Trafford post, but widespread speculation has claimed that the Dutchman will be relieved of his duties at the end of the season.
With regards to former Chelsea boss Mourinho, one report insisted last week that he had already signed an agreement to take charge of the Red Devils.
However, according to The Sun, Spurs head coach Pochettino also has plenty of supporters on the United board.
The report adds that the Argentine is viewed as a less controversial figure than Mourinho, while in keeping with United's traditions, he has shown at Southampton and Tottenham that he is prepared to promote players from the club's academy.
Pochettino's side are second in the Premier League, seven points better off than United in fifth.
