Mino Raiola, the agent of Paul Pogba, was given £24m for helping to pave the way for the Manchester United midfielder's move from Juventus earlier this year.

Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola received £24m for helping to broker the record-breaking transfer that saw the Frenchman swap Juventus for Manchester United.

The 23-year-old midfielder was at the centre of drawn-out negotiations between the two clubs during the summer window, before finally putting pen to paper in August to seal a return to his former club.

It had been widely considered that the move had set the Red Devils back around an initial £89m, making Pogba the world's most expensive player, but Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta offered a more in-depth breakdown of the hefty figure during the club's AGM.

"The price tag we asked was €105m (£94m) plus €5m (£4.5m) bonus in the case that the player renews his contract with the club or is sold for more than €50m (£44.7m)," he said.

"We made around €95m. Mino Raiola, his representative, will be paid €27m (£24m). The profit on Pogba is around €72m (£64.5m). We didn't want to sell him. We wanted him to put roots down at Juventus. He arrived from United and after four years with us he decided to return to England. He wanted to leave at all costs."

Pogba has made 11 appearances for United since returning to the club, scoring three goals in all but so far failing to register a single assist.
