Manuel Pellegrini has hailed Lukasz Fabianski as the best goalkeeper in the Premier League following West Ham United's 2-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday.
The Polish keeper produced an excellent stop to keep West Ham ahead in the second half against the Red Devils, spreading himself wide to keep out a Harry Maguire shot from close range.
Fabianski has now secured three consecutive Premier League clean sheets, with West Ham unbeaten since an opening-day 5-0 defeat to Manchester City.
Speaking to talkSPORT about Fabianski after the game, Pellegrini said: "He is a goalkeeper who works very hard every day of the week. He deserved the performances he had last season and the performances he's been having this year.
"Unfortunately for him last year, I know it was our first year working here defending in a different way and we conceded too many goals but [even though] he conceded so many goals he was the best goalkeeper in the league.
"This season he continues with his performances and now our defenders are working better and not conceding so many chances."
Fabianski has played for Arsenal, Swansea City and now West Ham during a 13-year spell in the Premier League, making 224 appearances in total.
Pellegrini's men, who have lost just once this season, moved up to fifth in the Premier League with the win over United at the London Stadium.
