Jose Mourinho 'has Ashley Young, Memphis Depay regrets'

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says that he has "some bad feelings" over not being able to hand regular football to Memphis Depay and Ashley Young this season.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that he has "some bad feelings" over not being able to hand regular football to Memphis Depay and Ashley Young this season.

Depay has made just one start for the Red Devils this term and it is widely thought that the Netherlands international will join Everton when the January transfer window opens for business.

Young, meanwhile, has made nine appearances under Mourinho, but the Englishman has only started twice in the league and has also been linked with a move away from Old Trafford next month.

Mourinho, who has also commented on his club's interest in Benfica's Victor Lindelof, has revealed his regret at not being able to hand the two wingers regular football, claiming that he is "overbooked" in that area of the field.

"I still have some bad feelings towards myself because I didn't give a real chance to everyone, there are some positions in our squad where we have overbooked," Mourinho told Sky Sports News.

"To be honest, people like Ashley Young and Memphis Depay, I didn't really give them a run of matches to play, to prove. So I have this little bad feeling."

Man United will attempt to record their fourth straight Premier League win when they welcome struggling Sunderland to Old Trafford on December 26.
