Anthony Martial wants to stay at Manchester United for "many years"

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial claims that he wants to stay at the Premier League club for "many years to come".

Anthony Martial has revealed that he intends to spend "many years" of his career at Manchester United.

The 20-year-old signed for the Red Devils from AS Monaco last summer and has gone on to cement a place in Louis van Gaal's team.

The forward, who cost United a reported £36m, has scored seven goals in 23 Premier League games and also found the back of the net twice in six Champions League fixtures.

While United may be struggling to be a dominant force this season, Martial has every intention of staying at the club.

"The Premier League is more physically demanding than Ligue 1," Martial told Sky Sports News. "I love English football, it's the best in the world in my opinion, and I hope to stay here for many years to come.

"It's true that the atmosphere here is quite different from the one in France. People live and breathe football here, and that's what I like, every footballer wants to play in the Premier League.

"In France it's easy to know which team is going to win the game, where as in England anywhere you play, you know it's going to be difficult."

Martial is expected to start in Sunday's derby clash against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
