Mircea Lucescu: 'Pep Guardiola is more arrogant than Jose Mourinho'

Zenit St Petersburg boss Mircea Lucescu says that Pep Guardiola is more "arrogant" than Jose Mourinho.

Zenit St Petersburg head coach Mircea Lucescu has claimed that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is more "arrogant" than his rival Jose Mourinho.

Both coaches have glittering CVs having won 40 trophies between them, and their rivalry intensified when they arrived in Manchester over the summer.

While discussing the pair, Lucescu told Dolce Sport: "Mourinho is an amazing guy, but my way of understanding football is totally different because I have an offensive mentality.

"All my teams have broken records for goals. Mourinho seems more arrogant than Guardiola but it is exactly the opposite. Either way, both are great coaches."

The first meeting between City and Manchester United under Guardiola and Mourinho ended in a 2-1 victory for the blue half of the city in September.
