Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic jokingly threatened to break his agent's legs if he failed to seal a move to Old Trafford for Paul Pogba, according to Mino Raiola.
The football agent played a role in deals that took both Ibrahimovic and Pogba to United during the summer transfer window.
The midfielder's transfer from Juventus was drawn out due to reports that Real Madrid were keen on signing the France international.
Eventually, Pogba, who left United on a free transfer in 2012, secured his return in a world-record £89m deal.
Raiola has now revealed that Ibrahimovic was determined to get the 23-year-old to join him at Old Trafford before the transfer window came to a close.
Raiola told Volkskrant.nl: "Zlatan told me, 'Do not transfer Pogba elsewhere or I will break your legs'."
Pogba has taken time to settle in the North-West city, but he put in an impressive goalscoring display in Saturday's 4-1 victory over Leicester City.
