Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic insists that Paul Pogba's "jealous" critics will eat their words.

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has insisted that Paul Pogba will prove his critics wrong.

The France international, who left United to join Juventus in 2012 on a free transfer, returned to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window for a world record £89m fee.

The midfielder has been a regular in Jose Mourinho's team since his arrival, but he had a quiet day in last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Manchester City.

Ibrahimovic is confident that his teammate will make his doubters eat their words.

"All the jealous people who talk about him will swallow all of the words they have said about him," Eurosport quotes Ibrahimovic as saying. "He will only improve and will get everyone behind him."

Meanwhile, United are preparing for Thursday's Europa League group match against Feyenoord.
