Angelo Henriquez has expressed his desire to be given a chance to prove his worth at Manchester United over the next few weeks.
The 20-year-old signed for the Red Devils in 2012, but as yet he has not made a senior appearance for the club.
However, having been included in the squad for this summer's pre-season tour of the USA, the striker is hopeful that he will be handed the opportunity to impress by new manager Louis van Gaal.
"Obviously, I always enjoy being here at United. I now hope to have a good pre-season and get a chance in the first team, but I have to work hard and do my best," he told the club's official website.
"I hope to be given a chance by the new manager because he is known for looking at young players, but I have to work hard first."
Henriquez spent last season on loan in Spain with Real Zaragoza.
