Manchester United want Pep Guardiola to take over when Sir Alex Ferguson retires, according to reports.
The 41-year-old led Barcelona to Copa del Rey title in his last game in charge against Athletic Bilba last night and is now expected to take a year-long break from management.
Chelsea are reportedly interested in the Spaniard taking the reins at Stamford Bridge after winning 14 major honours in four years at the Nou Camp.
According to The Mirror, Ferguson may finally be stepping down as manager at the end of next season, leaving the path clear for Guardiola to succeed the Scot at the helm.
The Red Devils' chiefs are said to have asked Guardiola to keep them informed of his future plans.
