Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs willing to manage in League Two

Former Manchester United star Ryan Giggs says that he would be to manage in League Two if a club came calling for him.

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has refuted suggestions that he is only willing to coach in the Premier League.

The former Wales international has not yet had a job in management since walking away from the Red Devils last summer.

The 43-year-old worked as assistant coach to David Moyes and Louis van Gaal during their spells as United manager, but he left his position at Old Trafford following Jose Mourinho's appointment.

Giggs has been linked to Swansea City and Southampton in the past, but he has insisted that he is willing to start at the bottom.

"I think after speaking to owners or chief executives, and they excite and motivate you, it doesn't matter what level," Giggs told talkSPORT. "I think a lot of things have been said about me that I would only coach in the Premier League - that's not the case.

"I would rather coach a League Two team in which philosophy and ambitions match mine rather than going in to the Premier League and firefighting and the owners don't give you a chance. I'd much prefer that, especially it being my first job."

Giggs spent 24 years playing for United.
