Further unwanted records Manchester United can break this season

Having broken a number of negative records since taking charge of Manchester United, Sports Mole looks at what else could go wrong for David Moyes between now and the end of the season.

Last night, Manchester United were defeated for the first time in their history by a Greek club.

It was the latest in a long line of unwanted records that have been broken since David Moyes took charge of the club during the summer, as we highlighted here last month.

With 11 Premier League matches left to play, as well as the second leg of the Champions League tie with Olympiacos, Sports Mole has picked out a number of other firsts that could happen under Moyes's watch between now and the end of the season.

Man United's remaining fixtures: West Brom (A), Liverpool (H), Olympiacos (H), West Ham (A), Manchester City (H), Aston Villa (H), Newcastle United (A), Hull City (H), Everton (A), Norwich City (H), Sunderland (H), Southampton (A)

1995: The year that United last failed to qualify for the Champions League as Blackburn Rovers won the title. The Red Devils, meanwhile, had to settle for the UEFA Cup.

25: Aside from the Champions League, United have not been with European football since 1989 - 25 years.

1991: Furthermore, United have not finished outside of the top three in 23 years.

34: The last time West Bromwich Albion completed a league double over United was 34 years ago back in 1979 with Dave Sexton at the helm. Having lost to the Baggies earlier in the campaign, the Red Devils face them at The Hawthorns next time out.

0: Olympiacos have made 11 trips to England, winning none of them. In fact, the Greek champions have failed to return home with even draw.

2007: United last lost a Premier League encounter at Upton Park, the home of West Ham United, seven years ago.

83: The number of years it has been since Newcastle United recorded a double over their Manchester counterparts. Following their 1-0 victory at Old Trafford back in December, the Magpies will have a chance to end a run that dates back to 1931 in April.

11: Hull have made 11 trips to Old Trafford in the league and have lost all of them. What's more, they also haven't overcome United since November 1974.

1969: Moyes's former club Everton have not secured a league double over United in 45 years when Wilf McGuinness was in charge. In mid April, the Toffees can end that wait.

1989: Norwich City have not returned to Norfolk with three points from their trips to United in 25 years.

17: The number of years that have gone by since Sunderland got the better of United in Premier League fixture. Staying with Sunderland, they last won at Old Trafford in 1968, just three weeks before United were crowned the champions of Europe.

11: Not in the last 11 years have Southampton managed to get the better of United.
