Sir Alex Ferguson challenges Tom Cleverley to score more goals for Manchester United.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has informed Tom Cleverley that he is expected to score more goals between now and the end of the season.

The England midfielder scored his third of the season during United's 3-1 win over Sunderland at Old Trafford this afternoon.

Having praised Cleverley's finish against the Black Cats, Ferguson believes that the 23-year-old should be contributing even more.

"[Cleverley] has goals. As a younger player there was always a goal in him," Ferguson told Sky Sports News. "It was a great one-touch finish.

"He's got two this season and I really do expect more from him because he's a nice finisher."

Cleverley's other two goals this campaign have come in matches against Newcastle United.
