Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that the Premier League have warned him not to discuss the vacant England manager's position.
The Manchester United manager recently backed Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp to be a success in the role but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is believed to have complained about the comments, according to the Daily Mail.
Ferguson said: "I have had a letter from the Premier League telling me not to discuss the England job."
A letter reminding all Premier League bosses of their responsibilities regarding fellow contracted managers and their futures were allegedly sent recently.
Harry Redknapp remains the favourite to become the new England manager.
