Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes that Mark Hughes's upheaval of the QPR squad this summer provides a lesson for everyone.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed that Mark Hughes's dismissal from his post as manager of Queens Park Rangers provides a lesson for everyone.

Hughes was sacked this morning following a 12-game winless streak that leaves QPR bottom of the Premier League table.

The run follows a summer of change for the club, which brought in host of new faces in an attempt to avoid a similar relegation battle to the one they experienced last season.

However, Ferguson believes that such an upheaval has contributed to their poor form so far this campaign.

"If you analyse things a little bit more closely it's probably a lesson to everyone that changing a team and bringing 11 new players in to the Premier League is not easy. But I am surprised they've only got four points," said the veteran manager.

"I didn't expect them to immediately set a blazing trail or be up at the top of the league or anything like that with 11 new players to bed in, but they've only four points and of course that creates its own headlines."

Harry Redknapp is the favourite to take over at Loftus Road, although there are a number of other possible candidates for the job.
