Radamel Falcao has cried over Manchester United struggles

Out-of-favour Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao has cried over his unsuccessful loan spell at Old Trafford, according to his former agent.

The former agent of Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao has said that the out-of-favour forward has been reduced to tears over his troubled loan spell at Old Trafford.

The Colombian hitman has failed to scale the heights expected of him since joining the Red Devils in a big-money season-long loan from AS Monaco, netting just four Premier League goals.

Consequently, the 29-year-old has been benched by Louis van Gaal for United's last three games and speculation is rife that the Dutchman will not take up the option to sign him permanently.

"We talk a lot. I'm not going to say that he feels happy because he's not. We've spoken many times and cried together," Silvano Espindola, his former representative, told AS Colombia.

"It's not an easy situation because every player wants to play and every goalscorer wants to score goals, that's normal. But, at the moment, he isn't scoring and that's part of his football. He's recovering his best form.

"When we spoke, I told him that this happens to every striker, that he'll get over this poor run. When you don't score, you're going to begin to feel the pressure."

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are among those linked with a summer bid for the misfiring Falcao.
