David de Gea hails "winner" Jose Mourinho

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea claims that new boss Jose Mourinho has already made a good impression on the players.

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has branded Jose Mourinho "a winner" and "one of the best managers in the world".

Mourinho replaced Louis van Gaal as Man United's new head coach this summer following a difficult end to his second spell with fellow Premier League side Chelsea.

The Red Devils are currently in China preparing for the third game of their pre-season, and De Gea has revealed that Mourinho has already made a good impression on the players at the club.

"He is a strong character. He is a winner - he is one of the best managers in the world and we feel it. We are really comfortable with him. He is a strong character but he makes jokes. It is good for us to laugh and I think he is a really good manager," De Gea told reporters.

De Gea is expected to be involved when Man United face Manchester City in Beijing on Monday.
