Club legend Andy Cole feels that Manchester United should stop trying to benefit from Marcus Rashford's versatility in the final third.

Club legend Andy Cole feels that Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford needs to focus on playing in one position.

Since breaking into the first team at Old Trafford, Rashford has been used in various roles in the final third, arguably restricting him to 48 goals from 179 appearances in all competitions.

However, Cole feels that the 21-year-old has reached a stage of his career where he needs to be used in a specific role, rather than United trying to benefit from his versatility.

The ex-striker told The Sun: "He doesn't really enjoy it with his back to goal and he wants to pick it up and run at the defender. He is a super talent but he has to decide now what he wants to be.

"Does he want to be a goalscorer or does he want to play off the left or right? He's 21 so I'd like to believe he knows what his strongest position is."

While Rashford has scored three times this season, two of those goals have come from the penalty spot.
