Former Everton striker Kevin Campbell has insisted that Romelu Lukaku "has got what it takes to be a success" at Manchester United as the Belgian closes in on a move to Old Trafford.
On Saturday morning, Man United revealed that they had reached an agreement with Everton for the transfer of the 24-year-old, who is understood to have undergone a medical in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon.
Man United are expected to pay upwards of £75m for the centre-forward this summer, but Campbell has claimed that the former Anderlecht youngster will prove to be value for money.
"Lukaku has got what it takes to be a success at Old Trafford, his attributes will suit the style of play and the players at Manchester United," Campbell told Sky Sports News. "He's quick, strong and very direct, I see him getting among the goals very quickly.
"There's a lot more to the game when you play football at Manchester United though, he's going to have to be a good link-up player, lead the line very well and those are things Jose Mourinho will help him improve on.
"When you play at Manchester United and other big clubs in the Champions League you've got to be right on point. He's going to have to improve his game and I'm sure he will."
Lukaku has scored 71 times in 133 appearances for Everton since a permanent move from Chelsea in the summer of 2014.
