Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez believes that David Moyes has the qualities to succeed at Manchester United.

Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez believes that David Moyes is capable of winning silverware with Manchester United.

The Scotsman has been confirmed as Sir Alex Ferguson's successor on a six-year deal following 11 years at Everton.

Despite establishing the Toffees as a top-six club in recent years, the 50-year-old has never won a trophy with the Merseyside outfit.

"He is a good manger with a good team, he will compete at the top and win trophies with a big club," Benitez said in a press conference.

"It is not easy to find someone like Ferguson but he has experience in the Premier League, he knows the players, he knows the club and what it means in the Premier League, time will tell."

Moyes will take up his new role at Old Trafford on July 1.
