Mikel Arteta is expected to miss Arsenal's crucial match against Manchester United on Sunday.

Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta is likely to be ruled out of Arsenal's vital Premier League battle against Manchester United this Sunday.

The former Everton playmaker was forced to sit out of the Gunners' 3-2 defeat to Swansea City last weekend with a calf strain.

While boss Arsene Wenger was hopeful of the Spaniard returning to the fray, it appears that the 29-year-old has yet to recover from his injury problem, according to The Express.

Meanwhile, Thierry Henry remains a doubt for the highly-anticipated match after picking up an injury in training.
