Anzhi Makhachkala announce the appointment of former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen as part of Guus Hiddink's managerial staff.

Anzhi Makhachkala have announced the appointment of former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen.

The 49-year-old will work alongside manager Guus Hiddink at the Russian outfit following his departure from the Premier League champions.

Meulensteen left his post at Old Trafford after the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, who made the decision to step down at the end of last season following a 26-year career.

Meanwhile, United have announced that Steve Round, Jimmy Lumsden and Chris Woods have joined new boss David Moyes as part of the Scotsman's backroom team.
