Monday's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup: Kalidou Koulibaly, Jadon Sancho, Sergio Reguilon

Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Manchester United on Monday, September 7.

The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Manchester United eye possible reinforcements.

The Red Devils brought in Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo in the final days of the winter window but are still expected to be active in the summer as they aim to restore their former glories.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.

Monday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:

Kalidou Koulibaly agent 'in England to negotiate Manchester City move'

Kalidou Koulibaly's agent has reportedly arrived in Manchester with the view to negotiating a move to Manchester City.

The Senegal international is thought to be a leading target for the Citizens during this summer's transfer window, but Napoli are refusing to sell unless their valuation - thought to be as high as £90m - is met.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the centre-back's agent Fali Ramadani has travelled to England in the hope of securing a move for his client to the Etihad Stadium.

City have already boosted their back line ahead of next season with the signing of Nathan Ake from Bournemouth.

Head coach Pep Guardiola is still believed to be keen on at least one more defender arriving at the club before the October deadline, though, as they look to wrestle the Premier League title back from Liverpool next term.

Koulibaly, who has previously been linked with Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid, still has three years left to run on his contract in Naples.

Manchester United target Jadon Sancho flattered by Borussia Dortmund valuation

Jadon Sancho has suggested that he attempts to ignore the £108m valuation placed on his signature by Borussia Dortmund.

While the England international has been heavily linked with a transfer to Manchester United, a move during the summer window currently appears unlikely due to the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, despite acknowledging that being regarded so highly "is a nice feeling", Sancho has hinted that he will remain patient regarding any future moves.

Speaking to SoccerBible, the 20-year-old said: "I guess it's a nice feeling to be worth so much, but again, I don't really look at it that much. For me it's about doing well for my team and doing well for myself as well.

"I feel like everything is a process. So you've got to be patient in what you do. Obviously I took a massive risk coming to Germany. I had a lot of people doubting me saying why are you leaving [Manchester] City, but I just felt like it was the right time for me.

"It's about patience. You can't rush things. Everything happens for a reason. If it was meant to be this year that I broke through, then I'd be more than happy. I'm still young at the end of the day."

Sancho still has three years remaining on his contract at the Westfalenstadion.
