Manchester United have revealed that Leny Yoro has undergone an operation on his injured foot.
The 18-year-old was signed by the Red Devils from Lille on July 18, and he made his debut for the 20-time English champions two days later against Scottish giants Rangers.
Yoro was then named in the Man United squad for their pre-season tour of the United States, but he picked up a foot injury in just his second appearance for the club against Arsenal.
It was later revealed that the Frenchman had suffered a fractured metatarsal, which will keep him on the sidelines for the next three months in a huge early-season blow for Erik ten Hag's side.
Man United have now confirmed that Yoro has undergone surgery, with his rehabilitation already beginning.
"Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has today had a successful surgery on his foot injury," read a statement on the English club's official website.

Yoro undergoes surgery on foot injury
"Our summer signing from Lille sustained the injury during the team's recent friendly match against Arsenal in Los Angeles, USA. Yoro's rehabilitation starts now and we look forward to the 18-year-old returning to fitness in around three months."
Yoro made a huge impression in his first 45 minutes of football for Man United against Rangers, and he was set to start the new campaign in Ten Hag's first XI despite his age.
However, the centre-back will now be missing for the next three months, which could force the Red Devils to bring in another player in that area of the field before the start of the new campaign.
Bayern Munich's Matthijs de Ligt continues to be linked with a switch to Old Trafford, but the Red Devils are allegedly yet to come to an agreement with the German giants over a transfer fee.

When will Yoro return to action?
Yoro is set to miss at least nine Premier League matches for Man United, in addition to the start of his team's Europa League and EFL Cup campaigns.
The centre-back's first competitive appearance for the Red Devils could come against Chelsea on November 2, but he might be held back until the following weekend against Leicester City.
Yoro will be absent for Saturday's clash against Manchester City in the Community Shield, and the same can also be said for Rasmus Hojlund, with the striker out until the middle of September due to a hamstring issue.
