Arsenal's Danny Welbeck doubt to face former club Manchester United

Arsene Wenger reveals that Danny Welbeck will have a fitness test to determine whether he will face his former club Manchester United tomorrow.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Danny Welbeck will be assessed before being given the green light to feature in Saturday's showdown against Premier League rivals Manchester United.

The England international was expected to play against his former club for the first time since joining the Gunners on transfer deadline day in September.

However, Wenger has claimed in this morning's press conference that he is yet to discover whether the 23-year-old has overcome a hamstring problem.

"His fitness will depend on the medical assessment this morning," Wenger told reporters.

Welbeck has scored five goals in all competitions for Arsenal so far this season.
