Marcus Rashford is reportedly fit to feature for Manchester United in their EFL Cup tie with Crystal Palace on Tuesday evening, despite being in a car crash on Saturday.

Marcus Rashford has reportedly been passed fit to play in Manchester United's EFL Cup tie with Crystal Palace this evening.

That is despite Rashford being involved in a car crash on Saturday night after United had beaten Burnley 1-0.

After returning to United's training base at Carrington on the team bus, the players drove themselves home in their personal vehicles.

However, Rashford's Rolls Royce collided with another car and a lamppost, leaving both cars written off.

Nobody was injured in the accident, as Rashford was immediately checked up on by the club's doctor.

Rashford's robust vehicle is believed to be a big factor in why the 25-year-old walked away from the incident unscathed.

Now, the Daily Mail claims that the Man United attacker has been passed fit to play in their tie with Palace at Old Trafford tonight.

Rashford has been ever-present under Erik ten Hag so far this season, and played the full 90 minutes for a fifth club match in a row on Saturday.

Goals have been a little on the low side though, as Rashford has not scored in any of United's three matches since the international break.

Rashford's opener at the Emirates Stadium in a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal remains his only goal of the season so far in seven appearances.

That is in stark contrast to his 30-goal campaign last season, which led United to EFL Cup glory and a place in the Champions League.

Injuries in other areas may force Ten Hag to start with Rashford again too, even if the manager would prefer to give the player a rest.

Mason Mount is out with a hamstring injury and Amad Diallo has a knee issue, while Jadon Sancho and Antony have both been banished from the squad recently for off-field reasons.
