Belgium boss Roberto Martinez says that midfielder Marouane Fellaini "should be fine" for Manchester United's Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Belgium boss Roberto Martinez has said that Marouane Fellaini "should be fine" for Manchester United's Premier League clash with Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.

Fellaini did not feature in Belgium's 1-1 draw with the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday, which sparked claims that the midfielder would be absent for his club at the weekend.

However, Martinez has insisted that Fellaini was simply 'not 100% fit' for the international fixture and expects the 30-year-old to be available for United should head coach Jose Mourinho wish to select him.

"He should be fine, it's just he wasn't 100%. He's got an important game at the weekend and this wasn't the game to use players who weren't 100%. We expect he should be fine in the next couple of days," Martinez told reporters.

Fellaini has scored once in 11 appearances for United during the 2018-19 campaign.
