David Moyes: 'Results will come for Manchester United'

David Moyes says that past experience will help him through his current tough spell at Manchester United.

Manchester United manager David Moyes is certain that his side will soon start getting the results they desire amid their recent poor run.

The Premier League champions currently sit 12th in the table after six games following a 2-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday that has resulted in the Scot coming under fire.

However, Moyes feels that he can draw on past experience to help United turn the corner, starting with their trip to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Wednesday.

"I have been in [difficult] situations very similar to this at my old clubs Everton and Preston," Moyes said in his press conference. "You get on and you do the right things. I haven't changed what I have done. I will continue to do that. The results will come. I have no doubt about that.

"I said to win the Champions League you need to have a certain amount of world-class players. That is something we will try and do. Of course we will try and win the Champions League. It is part of the job at Manchester United and I will do everything possible to try and make that happen.

"It is always the thing at Manchester United – everyone is interested in them. It is a talking point for everybody throughout the world. That is why it is, for me, the greatest club. It is a great honour to be the manager. Even our arrival here in Donetsk has been greeted with a lot of supporters at the airport. It is a great thing."

United's clash at Shakhtar kicks off at 7.45pm.
