Matchday two of the 2020-21 Champions League threw up more shocks and notable results as the group standings begin to take shape.
Perhaps the most impressive result of all saw Manchester United thrash last season's semi-finalists RB Leipzig 5-0 at Old Trafford, taking firm control of their group following their win at Paris Saint-Germain on matchday one too.
Indeed, it was a good week for the English teams as a whole, with Chelsea beating FC Krasnodar 4-0, Liverpool overcoming FC Midtjylland 2-0 and Manchester City winning 3-0 in Marseille - a 14-0 aggregate triumph for Premier League sides.
Barcelona made light of their crises on and off the pitch with a 2-0 win at Cristiano Ronaldo-less Juventus, while Real Madrid needed two late goals to rescue a 2-2 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach.

Shakhtar Donetsk have fared brilliantly to take four points off Real Madrid and Inter Milan so far, particularly with a coronavirus-depleted team including eight teenagers.
One of those - 19-year-old Anatoliy Trubin - was the standout performer in the latter game as he made a string of saves to keep Romelu Lukaku and co at bay, beating Chelsea's Edouard Mendy to a spot between the sticks.

There was not too much competition for the centre-back spots either; Valerii Bondar deserves a mention for his role in shutting Inter out, while Sergio Ramos chalked up an assist to help Real Madrid's late comeback.
Kurt Zouma and Chancel Mbemba get the nod as the centre-back pairing for us this week, though, having both helped their sides to clean sheets.
Left-back provided a greater level of competition with Layvin Kurzawa and Luke Shaw among those under consideration, but Sevilla's Marcos Acuna produced the standout individual display in that position with an assist and a clean sheet in their win over Rennes.
For the second matchday in a row Joshua Kimmich makes the cut as a holding midfielder after he scored the winner for Bayern Munich at Lokomotiv Moscow, while Casemiro narrowly misses out despite his goal and assist to inspire Real Madrid's comeback.
Instead, Kevin De Bruyne joins Kimmich as a deep-lying playmaker, having assisted the first and third goals in the win at Marseille.
There were no shortage of contenders for the other midfield places, with Sergio Oliveira and Marcos Llorente both getting on the scoresheet and Kai Havertz, Joan Jordan and Bruno Fernandes worthy of mentions too.
Joao Felix was one of the outstanding performers this week, though, scoring twice and hitting the woodwork to ultimately prove to be the difference between victory and defeat for Atletico Madrid against Red Bull Salzburg.
Kylian Mbappe also produced a decisive display with both assists in PSG's win over Istanbul Basaksehir, although Moise Kean, who scored both of those goals, is pipped to the centre-forward spot.
Manchester United's five-star showing against Leipzig earns them the accolade of being the only club with more than one representative in this team, with Anthony Martial fending off some stiff competition for the central striker role courtesy of his goal and assist.
It was Marcus Rashford who stole all of the headlines in that match, though, despite only being on the field for less than half an hour. The England international helped himself to a hat-trick, and could have had more had he not given the penalty to Martial.
We would be remiss not to mention the sizeable list of other attackers who impressed this week, though, with Marcus Thuram, Duvan Zapata, Lassina Traore, Raheem Sterling, Timo Werner, Lionel Messi and Hakim Ziyech among the many names to unfortunately miss out.
