Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly still hopeful of signing Manchester City's Oleksandr Zinchenko before today's 5pm transfer deadline.
Wolves are understood to have agreed a £16m fee with City over a deal for the versatile Ukraine international, who struggled for regular first-team football at the Etihad Stadium last season.
However, reports earlier today suggested that Zinchenko had decided against a move to the newly-promoted Premier League outfit and was willing to fight for his place at City.
Sky Sports News now claims that Wolves have not given up hope, though, and are still optimistic of their chances of convincing the 21-year-old that his future lies at Molineux.
Wolves are understood to have lined up a medical for Zinchenko this afternoon should he change his mind in the closing stages of the transfer window.
