Sunderland are believed to be lining up a loan move for Manchester City striker John Guidetti.
The Swede, who made his international debut in February, scored 20 goals on loan at Feyenoord last season.
The Dutch club have expressed an interest in keeping Guidetti at De Kuip, but now the Black Cats have reportedly emerged as rivals for his signature.
Martin O'Neill is believed to have sent scouts to watch the 20-year-old play in Feyenoord's final Eredivisie game of the season.
Guidetti, who signed a three-year contract at the Etihad Stadium last year, joined the Citizens from Brommapojkarna in 2010.
