Sunderland 'in Jason Denayer talks'

Sunderland discuss personal terms with Manchester City defender Jason Denayer over a loan move to the Stadium of Light, according to a report.

Sunderland are reportedly locked in talks with Manchester City defender Jason Denayer over a loan move.

It is understood that Man City have allowed the Belgian international to leave on loan in the final hours of the summer transfer window and Sunderland are the favourites at this stage.

According to Sky Sports News, the Black Cats are currently discussing personal terms with the centre-back ahead of a season-long loan, further boosting David Moyes's squad for the 2016-17 campaign.

Denayer, 21, has never made a first-team appearance for Man City, spending each of the last two seasons out on loan with Celtic and Galatasaray respectively.
