Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo will reportedly push for a move to Premier League champions Manchester City in the final week of this summer's transfer window.

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo will reportedly push for a move to Premier League champions Manchester City in the final week of this summer's transfer window.

The 36-year-old, who has entered the final 12 months of his contract in Turin, would be willing to leave the Italian club for one more challenge in the latter years of his iconic career.

Ronaldo fuelled speculation about his future when he requested to start on the bench for Juve's Serie A opener against Udinese on Sunday.

According to L'Equipe, the former Manchester United forward 'sees himself' at Man City and is hopeful that representatives from both parties can come to an agreement for his transfer before the 11pm deadline on August 31.

Although Juventus vice president Pavel Nedved has publicly stated that he expects the five-time Ballon d'Or winner to stay with the club this summer, any offer received to buy out Ronaldo's £25.5m-a-year contract would likely be accepted by the Italian club, who have been struggling financially during the coronavirus pandemic.

Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the Portuguese international, but would only consider making a move if they were to sell Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid, who recently lodged a £137m bid for the Frenchman.
