Manchester City are reportedly considering making a move for Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross.
The 25-year-old, who made his senior international debut in November, has just 18 months remaining on his current contract at the Britannia Stadium.
Stoke are understood to have put a new six-year deal on the table for Shawcross, but nothing has yet been signed.
Man City manager Roberto Mancini is a big fan of Shawcross and, according to the Daily Mail, the Italian could be tempted to make an offer for the player if he fails to commit his future to the Potters.
Stoke boss Tony Pulis has previously said that he wants Shawcross to stay with the Staffordshire club for "the rest of his life".
