Manchester City have reportedly been forced to put contract talks with Kevin De Bruyne on hold after the playmaker's agent was arrested.
The Citizens are believed to be keen to reward the Belgian for another impressive individual campaign with an improved salary.
However, according to The Mirror, De Bruyne's representative Patrick De Koster is being held by police in relation to alleged discrepancies in his finances.
De Koster has represented De Bruyne for the past 14 years and is believed to have been leading the contract talks with City.
Pep Guardiola's men are unfazed by the setback, though, as the 29-year-old still has another three seasons to run on his existing £300,000-a-week deal.
De Bruyne was crowned the Premier League's Player of the Season for 2019-20 after playing a direct part in 33 goals.
