Manchester United to sign Manchester City starlet

Manchester United are reportedly closing in on the transfer of Manchester City youngster Frederic Veseli.

The former Switzerland Under-17s captain is expected to become the Premier League champions' first signing of the January window.

The 19-year-old is expected to finalise the move before the close of the January window at 11pm today, according to Sky Sports News.

Meanwhile, Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester rivals have almost completed a loan move for Roma midfielder David Pizarro.
