Manchester City have reportedly identified Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman as a potential replacement for Leroy Sane next summer.
The Bundesliga champions placed a strong emphasis on signing Sane last summer, with former manager Niko Kovac confirming that the two clubs had been engaged in talks.
However, a severe knee ligament injury in August, which is set to keep Sane out until January at the earliest, killed off any potential deal with Bayern.
According to Sky Sports News, Pep Guardiola sees Coman as an adequate replacement should the club allow Sane to leave.
The Catalan boss worked with Coman for a season during his time as Bayern manager.
Bayern board member Edmund Stoiber recently confirmed that the German club remained keen on doing a deal for Sane, who is valued at £90m.
