Michael Laudrup is confident that winger Scott Sinclair will remain at Swansea City for the upcoming season.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has claimed that winger Scott Sinclair is "very happy" at the Welsh club.

The 23-year-old, who has been touted as a potential departure from the Liberty Stadium, has more recently been highlighted as a transfer target for Premier League champions Manchester City.

"I look at it as an interest, maybe, or maybe not, but I think he is very happy here," Laudrup told Sky Sports News.

"He knows he is important for the team. It is always nice when the bigger clubs have an interest but you have to look at the other players that are playing in the same position at the bigger clubs. I think he will stay here."

Sinclair signed for the Swans in 2010.
