Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman has accused Angel Di Maria of 'lacking respect' following the Argentina international's comments abouy Lionel Messi.
Di Maria, who has been with Paris Saint-Germain since 2015, suggested in an interview with TyC Sports that he could potentially play alongside Messi in Paris next season.
The Barca forward will see his contract at Camp Nou expire at the end of June, and it appears increasingly likely that he will leave the Catalan giants in search of pastures new.
PSG are thought to be in the running to sign the 33-year-old, alongside Manchester City, but Koeman has slammed Di Maria for his comments ahead of a Champions League knockout tie between the two sides.
"For me, it's a lack of respect. It's not respectful to speak about a player that is still a Barca player. It's not good, especially before a Champions League game against PSG," Koeman told reporters.
Messi has again been in impressive scoring form at club level during the 2020-21 campaign, netting 16 times in 25 appearances in all competitions, in addition to contributing seven assists.
