Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Inter Milan.
In August 2014, City paid £32m to sign Mangala from Porto but despite making 64 appearances in all competitions, the centre-back is deemed surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium.
According to Calciomercato, that has resulted in Inter considering a move for the 26-year-old as they look to beef up their defence before the end of the summer window.
Despite falling down the pecking order at City, Mangala represented Valencia on 30 occasions in La Liga during the most recent campaign, leaving the Premier League team in a stronger position to recoup a sizable transfer fee for his signature.
Mangala - who still has two years remaining on his contract - was an unused substitute as City beat Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday evening.
